Patriots Equal Longest Winning Streak Since Brady Years with Triumph Against New York Jets
First-year player Henderson has scored five touchdowns this season
The New England Patriots matched their top unbeaten stretch from the Brady period as they beat division opponents the New York Jets 27-14 in professional football
Rookie TreVeyon Henderson led the way with three touchdowns as the Patriots secured an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since star signal-caller Brady's final season with the franchise in the 2019 season
Quarterback Drake Maye passed for 281 passing yards and a TD, connecting on 25 passes from 34 throws
Victory bolsters the New England's advantage at the top of the AFC East as they moved to a 9-2 record, with the Jets at the foot after slipping to two victories and eight defeats
The visitors had taken the lead at their home field with quarterback Justin Fields scoring a five-yard TD to cap the Jets' first possession

"That was a crucial moment for him delivering, and it's been excellent for him to keep gaining experience," the quarterback said of the rookie. "He wants to be excellent."
Justin Fields threw to Metchie in the latter part of the third period to reduce the lead for the visitors but Andy Borregales converted a two field goals in the final period as the Patriots wrapped up the triumph
