British Airways stated that this no-cost, “quick and reliable” wifi provision via the satellite provider will be available to customers flying economy, premium economy, or first class starting soon.
Broad Deployment Across Multiple Flight Operators
The umbrella firm of the airline, International Airlines Group, confirmed it had secured an partnership involving the satellite firm to provide wifi services across 500-plus jets operated by its carriers, such as the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.

BA noted that this rollout of this technology formed part of a seven billion pound “upgrade” initiative and will offer lag-free connectivity service for travelers starting at the gate to landing, even when traveling above oceans and isolated areas.
